lovepsy there is a bit of a nick cave and the bad seeds vibes on this album and it is actually a good thing for the music of this band. great album. it could be a great soundtrack for a cool indie film about a washed out rock star of the 90's era. it's start with him at the bar singing with cigarttes in his hand, a beautiful girl can't take of her eyes of him, and him stuck in his head...the music still playing and fade out. fade in, him and the women sitting with thier beers and ciggarttes smokes..

Gunman & The Holy Ghost, is the project of Icelandic musician Hákon Aðalsteinsson. Hákon, who is now based in Berlin has formerly played in the Icelandic band Singapore Sling, and currently fronts Berlin based band The Third Sound as well as plays with The Brian Jonestown Massacre. What started as a side project with Icelandic friends in Berlin, consisting of an ever changing line-up of members, Gunman & The Holy Ghost now boils down to a solo project for the forthcoming album, ‘The Death of Gunman and The Holy Ghost’ as Hákon played and recorded all of the music for the album completely solo in his home studio. The album title, ‘The Death of Gunman and The Holy Ghost’ being a reference to the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Medicine is one of the most hauntingly beautiful albums I've ever had to privilege to hear. It helped me get more in touch with my own self, spirituality and nature. I just saw them play their first German show and left completely satisfied. The feel is 1968 psych pop. Tom-driven drums, deliciously jangly guitar and smooth melodic bass lines. A couple of songs remind me a bit of the Dukes of Stratosphear. Strong material throughout with a nice retro feel to the mix. I look forward to whatever they do next. Montie Davis
